On March 24, a source from SBS stated that Seungri will appear on the show as a “romance guide” for one day. The idol is currently filming in Busan.
“Romance Package” is a show where guests stay at a hotel for three nights and four days to go on blind dates. It started out as a pilot show last month and successfully became regular programming after receiving positive feedback from viewers.
As more and more BIGBANG members complete their national duties, we begin to realize how much we’ll be missing them these days. But we’re not the only ones out there who will miss them. Over the years, we have seen many artists express their admiration and gratitude towards the BIGBANG members for their leadership and contributions to the K-pop scene, and BTS is definitely at the forefront of this. While this list barely grazes the surface of the BIGBANG fanboy instances, here’s a list of times the BTS members let their VIP status show.
There wasn’t any background music planned, but Jungkook took care of that. How many BIGBANG songs can you count in this clip alone? There might not even be enough fingers!
2. “Eyes, Nose, Lips” obsession
This is one of those moments when you love a song so much that you create your own music video to it. For the members of BTS, they created one in the waiting room and made multiple “Bangton Bombs” to capture just how much they like Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips.” You can see how it takes Jungkook a little time to warm up to singing on camera. But once he’s comfortable, he can’t stop singing!
3. Waiting room adventures
Leave it up to BTS to use up every free minute to dance along to BIGBANG. And they sure are into it! Here we have V almost falling off the couch, Jin sneaking in his moves between shots, and Suga taking a break from getting his makeup done; all this just to jam out to their favorite tunes.
4. Karaoke room adventures
If you’ve never gone to a karaoke room before, these videos might serve as a great tutorial. They exhibit passion, energy, and a lot of top of the lung shouting and singing! And of course the members of BTS would choose multiple BIGBANG songs when in these rooms.
5. “Ringa Linga” dance time
Here we have another “Bangtan Bomb” dedicated to covering a song of Taeyang’s. You can joy and cheesiness in their eyes, and how much they’re loving making this bomb!
6. “I Need A Girl” cover
This isn’t your typical radio visit. This considered a serious homage to an artist they highly respect as they’re singing another artist’s song for a radio show. Can you imagine how excited they were to do so?
It has become quite normal for the BTS members to share with us what they’re listening to, which helps us further understand their style and inspirations. Who here is surprised that BIGBANG’s music is in their heavy rotations?
8. The answer to who they look up to
There’s absolutely no question that if you ask the members of BTS who they look up to, they will answer with the members of BIGBANG. They have truly been inspirational to BTS and many other artists out there.
9. This wild behind-the-scenes clip
This is a perfect example of VIPS jamming out to a song that gets them all excited. You can tell the members absolutely cannot contain themselves and rightfully so. The song is just so catchy!
10. The live reactions
Lastly, this list wouldn’t be complete without capturing BTS’s live reactions when they see BIGBANG! It’s a guarantee that you’ll find the members out of their seats dancing along or with their jaws dropped to the floor in awe of their seniors.
What are your favorite moments where BTS members showed their love for BIGBANG? Let us know in the comments below!
amycwang93 loves eating, sleeping, and reading. When she’s not catching up on BTS’s V Live shenanigans, she is listening to “Flower Road” on repeat!
The group’s music video for “Bang Bang Bang” passed 300 million views on March 22 at about 6:27 p.m. KST.This is about 2 years, 9 months, 21 days, and 18 hours after the release on June 1, 2015 at 12 a.m. KST.
“Bang Bang Bang” is BIGBANG’s second music video to surpass 300 million views, following “Fantastic Baby” in June 2017. The only other K-pop music videos that have achieved this feat are TWICE’s “TT” and BTS’s “DNA” and “Fire.”
Congratulations to BIGBANG!

Big Bang attend a photocall at CGV Cinema in Seoul, South Korea on June 28, 2016.
The K-pop icons shared an emotional single to say goodbye (for now) to fans.
As the members of BIGBANG enlist in South Korea’s mandatory military service, the K-pop icons can take their hiatus knowing they’ve continued their glorious, history-making run.
The quintet’s new single “Flower Road” debuts at No. 1 on Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales chart to become their fourth chart-topper on the list. The emotional electronic/hip-hop single sold 5,000 digital tracks in the week ending March 15, according to Nielsen Music, after its March 13 release.
K-Pop Icons BIGBANG Walk the ‘Flower Road’ In Final Single Before Hiatus
“Flower Road” joins BIGBANG’s 2015 singles “Loser,” “Bang Bang Bang” and “Let’s Not Fall in Love” as past No. 1s on World Digital Song Sales. To date, BIGBANG’s best first-week sales came when “Bang Bang Bang” moved nearly 11,000 downloads upon release.
BIGBANG now join their YG Entertainment label mate PSY by having four No. 1s on World Digital Song Sales. The two trailblazing K-pop acts now share the spot for second-most No. 1s on World Digital Song Sales among all artists with only boy band BTS having more No. 1s with their six.
Earlier this month, BIGBANG’s Taeyang and Daesung enlisted in South Korea’s military program marking the third and fourth members of the group to begin their required service following T.O.P and G-Dragon. Seungri, the youngest member, has shared his intention to join the military after finishing his scheduled work this year which is said to include a new solo album.
“Flower Path” is the song title BIGBANG as the group says goodbye (for now) to fans. A common Korean literature expression that’s a favorite for song titles, the “flower path” or “flower road” represents a point in life where one can walk forward in glory and success with the quintet certainly earning that spot after years as not only as one of biggest Korean-music sensations in Asia, but in America too. Through some of their most memorable and passionate raps and vocals to date, the men ask their loving fans — known as VIPs — to remember them in their current glory and remind them that they’ll return to them soon.

During this episode, he jokingly confessed, “I don’t want to say this, but now that my members are in the military, I feel like I’m finally living. All the attention is on me. All the employees of my agency only think of me. When I wake up in the morning, there are 100 messages!” When the MCs asked if he felt lonely, he said, “Why would I feel lonely when they’re going to come back?”
While he gave a lot of funny commentary, Seungri also had some heartfelt advice to share with his Wanna One juniors. He candidly explained, “In the beginning, everything is fascinating, but that doesn’t even last three years. On your third year as an idol, you start to want to do things by yourself,” and talked about his own solo tracks as well as his members’.
The youngest BIGBANG member revealed, “As an eye-catching detail on my stage outfits, I always wore a rose on my suit. I wanted to see how popular I was, so I would always go to a mall in the neighborhood of Cheongdang in my stage outfit. When I went around the cosmetics area, I heard people going, ‘It’s Seungri. It’s Seungri.’ I just went around the area two times.”
Seungri also honestly talked about how arrogant he had been when he was younger. He revealed how he had been so arrogant at one point that the MBC director had come to get him because he wouldn’t come out of the waiting room. When the director had called for him, Seungri confessed he had just replied, “I’ll come after I tie my shoes.”
The BIGBANG member advised, “When you talk informally and drop the honorifics, people start to leave you. However, they don’t say it’s because they hate you. In the blink of an eye, my manager and stylist had changed. They didn’t say it was because of me though.” He added, “However, after I finally came to my senses, then during the seventh year of my career, all kinds of incidents started happening. Even when I was sleeping, something happened. Something that I didn’t even know about would be tied to me.”
“I wondered if I could continue my career after that,” Seungri shared. “I started to create other options. Personally, I wish this moment would last a little longer. You never know what will happen. I’m grateful and enjoying being with Wanna One right now.”
He sincerely concluded, “Rather than becoming stronger, I must have self-control. As someone who is responsible as the face of BIGBANG right now because all of my members are in the military, I plan to be highly active so that their empty spaces will not be felt.”

Ong Seong Woo explained that if he personally was given a part he wasn’t confident about or was too high for him, he would ask another member if they wanted to take it. He added that he was better at parts where he belts out, similar to his part in “Energetic.”
Seungri revealed, “For BIGBANG, the parts are almost all [decided] by G-Dragon. That’s because he produces them. He just decides the parts beforehand, ‘Here is the part Seungri sings, here is the part where Taeyang sings.’ He decides and makes the song. We can’t change it.”
Kim Gu Ra interjected, “Don’t you have any complaints about that?” Seungri continued, “That’s why I said once. [My parts] are too similar! I keep being assigned parts that have a similar feel to them.” The youngest BIGBANG member demonstrated what he meant, and sang his lines from “BAE BAE” and “FXXK IT.”
“I remember there was a song where you sing in the chorus,” Cha Tae Hyun commented.
Seungri exclaimed, “I did, in a song called ‘Loser.’ But the funny thing is, I did sing the chorus, but GD and T.O.P sing with me at a lower pitch. At music broadcasts, the cameraman will be looking for me but then film GD and T.O.P.” He jokingly added, “What’s the point of me singing passionately when they’re just going to film G-Dragon?”
Ong Seong Woo said, “Before, I used my mom’s credit card a lot, but now, my mom uses my card. A few days ago, she spent 100,000 won [approximately $100] at a sushi buffet with a friend. It felt different.”
He also revealed that he bought a house for his family with the first payment he received. He explained, “The house we lived in was cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It was so cold in the winter that we needed heated tents. That’s why I bought a house for my parents first.”
Kang Daniel has also given money to his family. He said, “I sent money to my mother right away. My parents got a divorce when I was younger. I wasn’t in touch with my father because he’s busy, but he recently called me. He said his tooth hurt but couldn’t get it treated, so I sent him money for treatment right away.”
Seungri revealed that he uses the money he earns for his family as well. He stated, “My family was in debt, so as soon as I got money, I gave it all to my them.” He advised Wanna One, “People around you are going to start talking. You shouldn’t listen.”
Seungri also talked about business. He explained, “You should think that 80 percent of your earnings is money you keep and 20 percent is money that will be gone. It will be spent on learning experiences.”
During this episode, Kang Daniel said that the Wanna One members have yet to argue, and Seungri reasoned, “When your income is good, you don’t fight. BIGBANG really hasn’t fought.”

Earlier today, reports stated that the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration is looking into whether the release of BIGBANG’s “Flower Road” is a violation of a military rule that prohibits soldiers from engaging in additional business.
A source from YG Entertainment said, “Fans already know that ‘Flower Road’ was recorded two years ago while working on the ‘MADE’ album. This is something that was made known the general public through media reports. We don’t understand why this is being made into an issue.”
In addition, other celebrities have released songs after enlisting as gifts to fans who have to wait for their discharge.
“Flower Road” was released on March 13 and is topping music charts all over the world. The song recently achieved a perfect all-kill as well.
